Setting Up and Operating the RI45 PII

Caution
Risk of damage to the unit!
Switch off the unit before connecting the parallel printer to the LPT 1 port
(the printer should also be switched off).
Make sure that you use the right port, otherwise you may damage the printer
or the RI.
The interface port may be damaged if you confuse the connections or use the
wrong connecting cables.
Before plugging in the cables, the electrostatic charge of your body, the unit
and the cables must be equalized. To do this, briefly touch an earthed object
(ESD Guidelines).
Only use the original connecting cables.

Keyboard

Keyboard Labeling The keyboard has an international/German labeling system.

Euro Symbol
In the current versions of Windows 98 and Windows NT, the
German/international character set contains the euro symbol, which can be
typed using the key combination <Alt Gr> + <E>.
The euro symbol is also supported by the "True Type" fonts Arial, Courier
New, and Times New Roman.
If the euro symbol is not output by your printer, please contact your printer
supplier.
