Configuration and commissioning

The MSI-FB-ETHERCAT gateways are configured by means
of the configuration software MSI.designer. You will find a
detailed description of the configuration in the operating
instructions for "MSI 400 Gateways".
 Ensure that the MSI-FB-ETHERCAT gateway is correctly
installed, supplied with voltage and the RJ45 socket
"ECAT IN" is connected to the EtherCAT network. The
RJ45 socket "ECAT OUT "is used for connecting further
EtherCAT devices in the same branch.
Commissioning cannot take place until the
system has been tested by a qualified person!
Before you put the system in which you are
using a MSI 400 system into service, it must be
WARNING
tested and released by a qualified person. The
test results must be documented.

What to do in the event of an error
Shut down the machine in the event of
malfunctions!
Shut down the machine if any errors occur and
you cannot eliminate them.

Carry out a complete function test after
troubleshooting!
