Proper use
The MSI-FB-ETHERCAT Gateway is an Ethernet-based
gateway which communicates with higher-ranking control
systems according to EtherCAT protocol. It makes non-
safety-related field bus data available for control and
diagnostic purposes.
The gateway does not have its own power supply and can
only be used in a MSI 400 system. A maximum of two
gateways can be used in a MSI 400 system. These must be
installed in the immediate vicinity of the base module.
