c. Press the blue line card at the front of the optical fiber, and remove the optical fiber
and optical module (if it needs to be replaced) from the maintenance cavity, see
Figure

d. Disconnect the optical fiber from the BBU.
Note:
If the replaced optical fiber is not damaged, cover the fiber connector with a dustproof
cap to prevent the connector getting dirty. If the fiber connector is dirty, use a piece of
dust-free cotton cloth or a fiber-cleaning box to clean it.
2. Connect a new optical fiber.
a. Remove the dust cap from the new optical cable connector, and store it properly
for future use.
b. Connect one end of the optical fiber to the RRU and the other end to the BBU
by referring to the previous optical connection. For detailed cable installation
instructions, refer to the ZXSDR R8872A Engineering Hardware Installation.
c. Stick a label on the new optical fiber.
The label must contain the same contents as the label on the previous optical fiber.
3. Check whether indicators on the optical fiber are in normal statuses.
