Prerequisite You have acquired the hardware configuration of the faulty ZXSDR R8872A, and prepared a new ZXSDR R8872A with the same specifications as the faulty one. You have recorded the information of all cable connections to the faulty ZXSDR R8872A, such as the interfaces to which the optical fibers and antenna feeder jumpers are connected.

During equipment power-on, check whether the indicators are displayed in correct statuses, and perform the corresponding operation according to different situations. For the status description of each indicator on the ZXSDR R8872A, refer to the ZXSDR R8872A Macro Remote Radio Unit Hardware Description.
Replacing the AISG/MON Interface Cable ..............2-8 2.1 Replacing the Grounding Cable Replacing the grounding cable will result in power-off of the ZXSDR R8872A and interruption of all services carried by the ZXSDR R8872A. It may take about ten minutes to replace the grounding cable. Steps 1.

Close the external power supply switch, and then observe whether power-related indicators on the equipment are in proper statuses.
ZXSDR R8872A. This procedure describes how to connect a DC power cable. Replacing the DC input power cable will result in power-off of the ZXSDR R8872A and interruption of all services carried by the ZXSDR R8872A. The DC input power cable replacement takes about ten minutes.

Put the faulty cable into a moisture-proof antistatic bag, mark the cable type and fault information on a label, and then stick the label on the bag.

Check whether the cable can send and receive RF signals properly. Yes → The cable is connected properly. Go to the next step. No → Troubleshoot the fault and connect the cable again, or contact ZTE technical support. d. Paste a label on the new cable.
