10 - VNAV
Vertical Navigation Profile
To create a vertical navigation profile:
Press VNAV to dsplay the Vertcal Navgaton

Press the small right knob to actvate the
cursor.

Wth the "Target Alttude" field hghlghted,
turn the small and large right knobs to select
the target alttude and press ENT.
Turn the small and large right knobs to select
a target altitude. The target altitude can be
above field elevation (for an airport) or you
can specify an MSL altitude for any waypoint
Turn the small right knob to select "Above

Wpt" (AGL) or "MSL", and press ENT. "Above
Wpt" uses the alttude of a destnaton arport
as stored on the Jeppesen NavData card.
"MSL" lets you set a specfic target alttude
for any waypont category: arport, VOR, NDB,
ntersecton or user waypont.
Turn the small and large right knobs to select

a dstance from the target reference waypont
and press ENT. If the target alttude should
occur at the target reference waypont, enter
a dstance of zero.

Turn the small right knob to select "Before"
or "After", and press ENT. Ths settng desg-
nates whether the offset dstance defines a
pont before you reach the target reference
waypont or after you reach the waypont. The
"After" selecton s not avalable for the last
waypont.
Turn the small right knob to select whether
the distance is "Before" or "After" the refer-
ence waypoint.
7.
When usng a flght plan, the target refer-
ence waypont tself can be specfied from
the wayponts contaned n the flght plan. By
default, the last waypont n the flght plan s
selected. To select a dfferent waypont, turn
the small right knob to select the desred
waypont and press ENT.
