6. To enable/dsable the on-screen wnd vector*:
Turn the small right knob to select "Map"
and press ENT. Use the large right knob to
hghlght the "Wnd Vector" field and turn the
small right knob to select "On" or "Off".
Press ENT to accept the selected opton.
7. For arports, NAVAIDs, actve flght plan
wayponts, user-created wayponts, state/pro-
vncal boundares, rvers/lakes and ctes: Turn
the small right knob to select the approprate
"Group" name (per the chart on the prevous
page) and press ENT. Use the large right
knob to hghlght the "RNG" field for the
desred feature and turn the small right knob
to select the maxmum scale at whch the fea-
ture should appear on screen. Or select "Off"
to never dsplay the selected feature. Press
ENT to accept the selected opton. Next, turn
the large right knob to hghlght the "TEXT"
field for the desred feature and turn the small
right knob to select the desred text sze, or
select "Off" to dsable text descrptons. Press
ENT to accept the selected opton.
8. For arspace boundares, hghways, roads,
ralroad lnes, actve flght plan course lnes,
and lat/long grd lnes: Turn the small right
knob to select the approprate "Group" name
(per the chart on the prevous page) and press
ENT. Use the large right knob to hghlght the
"RNG" field for the desred feature and turn
the small right knob to select the maxmum
scale at whch the feature should appear on
screen. Or select "Off" to never dsplay the
selected feature. Press ENT to accept the
selected opton.

Distance Measurements
The "Measure Dist?" option provides a quick, easy
method for determining the bearing and distance
between any two points on the map display.
To measure bearing and distance between two
points:
Press MENU (wth the Map Page dsplayed).

2. Turn the large right knob to hghlght "Mea-
sure Dst?" and press ENT. An on-screen
reference ponter appears on the map dsplay
at your present poston.
Once "Measure Dist?" is selected, place the
on-screen pointer on the point you wish to
measure FROM and press ENT.
3. Use the small and large right knobs to place
the reference ponter at the locaton you wsh
to measure FROM and press ENT.
4. Agan, use the small and large right knobs to
place the reference ponter at the locaton you
wsh to measure TO. The bearng and dstance
from the first reference locaton appear at the
top of the map dsplay.
5. To ext the "Measure Dst?" opton, press the
small right knob.
