DMEviaaLINbus.Theconventionalcoolantpumpisdrivenviathedrivebeltandcannotbeused
forcoolingtheexhaustturbochargeraftertheenginehasshutdown.Thisiswhythereisanelectric
coolantpumpforthisseparatecoolingcircuit.Butalsoduringengineoperationtheelectriccoolant
pumpisswitchedontakingintoaccountthefollowingfactors:

Usingthesevaluestheheatinputintotheengineiscalculated.Therun-onperiodoftheelectric

theindirectchargeaircoolingthechargeairiscooledviaalow-temperaturecoolingcircuit.Thelow-
temperaturecoolantcircuitisthencooledagainbytheatmosphericairflowinducedbyvehiclemotion
actingontwowater-to-airheatexchangers.
