WARNING: Before taking any measurements, always carefully
set the rotary switch to the highest range in the measurement
function desired and then switch to lower ranges until the pointer
reads in the upper half of the scale.

MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE:

This high quality analog multimeter provides a long field life by following the
steps outlined below:
• Best Accuracy
- Ensure that the pointer is set exactly on the zero line located at the left end
of the arc using the Zero Dial. Note that changes in atmospheric conditions
can cause the pointer to drift daily.
- The pointer should read in the upper half of the scale, preferably in the
fourth quarter of the arc.
• Switch position
1) Prior to use, set the switch position to the highest range of the function to
be measured.
2) Adjust the switch down to lower successive ranges in this function until the
pointer reads in the upper half of the scale.
By using this method routinely, the meter is protected against overloads that
may "peg the needle" and cause damage to the pointer, particularly in cases
where circuit values are not known.
WARNING: When finished with taking measurements of one
function, remove the test leads completely from the circuit, before
switching to another function and repeating the measurement
procedure above.
