12. MAINTENANCE
CAUTION
Don't over tighten the adjustor. The maximum free play is equal to one
click of the parking brake lever.
.8. Field test for parking. It must be capable of holding the laden CUV
stationary on an 18% up and down gradient.
A temporary adjusting can also be done to the brake cable on the
switch, which is activated by the parking lever,
is properly adjusted when the indicator light
comes on just before braking takes effect. If
necessary, adjust the parking indicator switch
as follows.
1. Lift the cargo bed. (See 7. CONTROL AND
PARTS FUNCTIONS in this manual for bed
lifting and lowering.)
2. Turn the adjusting nut ① in or out to make the light come on
properly, then lock the lock nut ②.
