Make sure the accelerator pedal fully returns to the idle position after release. 1. Accelerator pedal Press the accelerator pedal down to increase engine speed.

The engine coolant level is controlled or maintained by the recovery system.

However, if the recovery bottle has run dry, the level in the radiator should be inspected and coolant added if necessary.

Do not allow the starter motor to run continuously for more than 20 seconds.

With your foot off the accelerator pedal, start the engine by turning the key to “STARTING” position and the engine should start. If the engine fails to start after 10 seconds of starting, turn off the key for 5 to 30 seconds and try starting again.

RIDING GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE Off-road utility vehicles (UTVs) handle and maneuver differently from an normal passenger cars or other vehicles. Before you start using your vehicle, be sure you have read this Owner’s Manual completely and understand the operation of the controls.

Practice control of the accelerator pedal, brakes, steering, and drive select lever.

In most cases, gradually application of the brakes is more effective than abrupt braking, particularly on loose surfaces like gravel. Always allow for greater braking distance on rough, loose, or slippery surfaces.

To climb a hill, you need traction, momentum, and steady throttle. Travel fast enough to keep your momentum going, but not so fast that you cannot react to changes in the terrain as you climb.
