DIAGNOSTIC MANUAL
PASSENGER PRETENSIONER
Passenger Pretensioner is located on passenger side B pillar. Pretensioner is used to remove any slack from the seat
belts in the event of a collision. These devices improve the performance of the seat belt system by assuring that the
belt is tight around the occupant in a collision.

During Ignition ON, SRS ECU performs self test and checks the loop voltage of
the Passenger Pretensioner and is within the range
The Passenger Pretensioner loop short to battery positive
Short to ground of Passenger Pretensioner positive wire
Short to ground of Passenger Pretensioner negative wire
