DIAGNOSTIC MANUAL
DRIVER AIRBAG
The driver airbag (DAB) is located on the centre of the steering wheel and protects the driver by reducing
the impact during frontal collision. DAB is connected to SRS ECU thru clock spring.

B1002 - Driver Front Airbag 1 resistance value too small
During Ignition ON , SRS ECU continuously monitors the loop resistance of the
DAB and is >= 1.8 Ω
The DAB loop resistance < 1.2 Ω for 1200 msec
Short DAB positive/negative wires
Short clock spring
DAB internal failure
SRS ECU malfunction
SRS warning lamp ON
