4.6 Storing the air cart

Procedure
Park the machine on a solid, level surface.
1.
Fully open the seed meters.
2.
Open the cleanout doors on the bottom of the air tube.
3.
Clean all material out of the tanks.
4.
Use water to completely clean any compartment used for fertilizer.
5.
Completely clean fertilizer and dirt from the cup area.
6.
Clean the inside of the seed meter door.
7.
Clean all material out of the auger and leave the auger slide open.
8.
Lubricate all of the chains.
9.
Lubricate all lubrication fittings.
10.
Check the gearbox for visible leaks. See the information for gearbox maintenance.
11.
Release the latch on the tank covers to remove pressure on the cover gaskets.
