INSTALLATION INSTALLATION Mount the Installation Brackets — Outside Mount with Valance With the optional valance, first the valance headboard is mounted and then the installation brackets are mounted to the wall or molding under the headboard. The standard shade has an attached battery wand requiring a spacer block to be used with the installation bracket. DC power supply or satellite battery pack will not require a spacer block. - Page 9 INSTALLATION INSTALLATION Mount the shade installation brackets to the wall or molding underneath the valance headboard. ■ The top of the installation brackets must be ¼” below the bottom of the ➤ valance headboard, so that the L-brackets do not interfere with shade installation.

Install the batteries according to the instructions on the battery wand label. ■ Squeeze Latch NOTE: Kirsch recommends AA alkaline batteries for use with our battery-powered shades. These will provide approximately one year of operation, depending on usage. Lithium and rechargeable batteries are not recommended. INSTALLATION CARE Testing the Shade Testing the shade with the manual control button will allow you to ensure that the motor and power source are working correctly. CAUTION: When raising the shade for the first time, observe how the fabric stacks. It should stack evenly. Immediately stop the shade if the bottom rail is not level or the shade starts to rub against either window jamb. -

INSTALLATION OPERATION Further Operation and Programming Information Automation Remote For information regarding operation and programming of the Automation remote, refer to your Automation Remote Control Guide. Resetting the Shade (If Necessary) Basic Reset The basic reset is used to reset the shade’s travel limits. This procedure will also reset the ♥ FAVORITE position to its default (shade closed halfway). -

First review the guide that came with your control device. ■ Refer to the following troubleshooting procedures below for the specific solutions for your shade. ■ If questions remain, please contact the Kirsch® Consumer Support at 1-844-KIRSCH2 (844-547-7242). Problem The shade will not fit into the installation brackets. Solution If the shading has a battery wand, check that the wand is not interfering with the installation brackets. - Page 18 INSTALLATION OPERATION Problem Shade is too short. Solution If the shade was ordered with a valance, be sure the valance and shade brackets are installed properly. The valance headboard is considered in the overall height of the shade and valance combined. A deduction in shade height is taken by fabrication to accommodate the thickness of the valance headboard.
