Symptom:
Vacuum motor runs no suction:
Check for full bag or clogged hose, wand and accessory tool.
Vacuum motor runs for a while with weak suction then cuts off, this is caused
by the motor over heating above 170° F. When this occurs the vacuum motor is
not getting enough air flowing through it to keep it cool (flow through type).
Check for full bag or clogged hose, wand or accessory tool.
Yes
The bag is full, or system is clogged, change bag or clear clogged
hose wand or accessory tool.
No
If this condition has occurred frequently the motor may cut off at a
cooler temperature which indicates the thermal cut-off switch has
degraded over time due to frequent tripping. Replace the fuse
assembly which includes the thermal switch.
