To check the RDS information
Each time you press DISPLAY, the display
changes as follows:
t Station name*

Frequency
r
Programme type*
r
Clock display
r
Effect (P FILE) name or "EFFECT ON
(OFF)"
* If the RDS broadcast is not received, the station
name and programme type may not appear in the
display.
Tip
Pressing and holding DISPLAY for 2 seconds or
more switches the spectrum analyzer ON/OFF.
Locating a station by
programme type (PTY)
You can locate a station you want by selecting a
programme type. The system tunes in the type of
programmes currently being broadcast from the
RDS stations stored in the tuner's preset memory.

Press REPEAT/PTY while listening to
the radio.

Turn jog dial to select the programme
type you want. See the "List of
programme types" section below.

Press ENTER.
The system starts searching the preset RDS
stations ("SEARCH" and the selected
programme type are shown alternately in the
display).
When the tuner receives a programme, the
preset station name flashes.

Turn jog dial to display the preset
station name you desire.

Press ENTER while the preset station
name is flashing.
To cancel PTY search
Press REPEAT/PTY again.

NEWS
News programmes.
AFFAIRS
Topical programmes that expand on current
news.
INFORMATION
Programmes about consumer affairs, medical
advice.
SPORT
Sports programmes.
EDUCATION
Educational programmes, such as "how-to"
programmes and advice.
DRAMA
Radio plays and serials.
