To mix or blend 4 different tones on the Yamaha Motif XS5, use the Mixing mode. In this mode, you can assign different Voices (tones) to Parts and control their levels, pan settings, effects, and more. Here's how:
1. Enter Mixing mode.
2. Assign a Voice to each of the 4 Parts you want to use.
3. Adjust volume levels and pan positions for each Part.
4. Use the Insert Effect Switch (Ins FX Sw) to enable insert effects for up to 8 Parts.
5. Set Chorus and Reverb levels as needed.
6. Use the Assignable Control Sliders and Knobs to adjust tones in real time.
