Troubleshooting

To avoid injury from unexpected start up, disconnect
spark plug wire and black battery cable before you
service your unit.

Cutters wearing unevenly/prema-
turely
Cutters Shaft Breakage

Cutter Head Adjustment Dial will

Cutter head is too low
Material build up
Bearings may be worn
Wrong cutters for application
Cutter head is too low
Over 40 hours service life
Bearings may be worn
Drive shaft worn
Improper cutter set-up
Spindle contacting the ground
Wheels worn out
RPM is too low
Surface is severely uneven
Pulley is misaligned
Wrong belt
Cutter Head Adjustment Dial is set too high

Threads are not greased

Solution
Raise the cutter head
Clean the cutters
Replace bearings
