Cleans
ifielf while
cooking.The ovenwallsare finishedwitha
special
coating
thatcannotbecleanedin theusualmanner
withsoap,detergents, s teelwoolpads,commercial
ovencleaners,coarseabrasivepadsor coarsebrushes.
Use of suchcleansersand/orthe use of ovensprays
willcausepermanentdamage.
The
special coating is a porous ceramic material,
whichis darkin colorand feelsslightlyroughto the
touch.If magnified,thesurfacewouldappearas
peaks,valleysand sub-surface"tunnels."Thisrough

littlebeadsor dropletsthatrun downthe sidewallsof
a hard-surfaceovenliner,leavingunsightlystreaks
thatrequirehandcleaning.Instead,whenspatterhits
the
porousfinish,it is dispersedandpartially
absorbed.This spreadingactionincreasesthe
exposureof ovensoilto heatedairandmakesit
somewhat l essnoticeable.
Soilmay not dhappwr completelyand at sometime
after extendedusage,stainsmay appearthat cannot
be removed.
The
special
coating
works best on
small arnounk
of spatter.
It
does not workwell withlargerspills,
especiallysugars,egg or dairy mixtures.For this
reason, the oven is equippedwith a removable,
replaceablealuminumfoil ovenbottomliner which
protectsthe porousfinishon the bottomof the oven
from spillovers.
This
