Through-wall air-to-air heat pump and air conditioner

1. When the unit is to be installed high on the wall, the distance from bottom of unit to floor should
be no less than 2m and no more than 3m. The distance from side panel to wall should be no
less than 150mm.
2. When the unit is to be installed low on the wall, the distance from the bottom of unit to floor
should ideally be no more than 300mm and no less than 100mm. The distance from side panel
to wall should be no less than 150mm.
3. The wall that supports the unit must be strong enough to withstand the weight of unit. The
fixings should be chosen so as to be suitable for the type of wall – particularly hollow walls. It is
the installer's responsibility to check carefully and use suitable fixings for the appliance.
4. Leave enough space around the unit for operation and maintenance.
5. Keep the area around air inlets completely clear to avoid any restriction of air flow, especially
within 0.2m range of the air outlet area, otherwise it will cause abnormal noise from the unit
during operation.
3.2.2 The chosen installation wall must be an outside wall.
Note: Before starting work ensure the correct positioning for the unit. Double check the
wall and confirm the wall is suitable to drill through. Take particular care that the wall
does not contain other services such as lights, wiring, water or gas pipes etc.
3.2.3 Before unit installation, it is necessary to double check the room size for the unit and
precisely calculate the heat load in summer and cooling load in winter that the heat pump
unit will have to manage for the room.
