1. Install the spark plug and the metal washer. Ensure
that the air gap is set correctly.
2. Tighten the spark plug to 22 N-m (16 ft-lb).

fuel tank drains completely.

5. Squeeze the ends of the hose clamp on the engine side
of the shutoff valve together and slide it up the fuel line

7. Open the fuel shutoff valve and allow the gasoline to
drain into a gas can or drain pan.
Note: Now is the best time to install a new fuel filter
because the fuel tank is empty. Refer to
Fuel Filter (page

8. Install the fuel line onto the fuel shutoff valve. Slide
the hose clamp close to the valve to secure the fuel line.
