attempt to use your sander without the dust bag properly installed.
NOTE: Always wear a dust mask.
7.3. Emptying / Removing the dust bag (See Fig. C)
WARNING: Always ensure that the sander is switched off and
the battery pack is removed before making any adjustments.
For more efficient operation, empty the dust bag (4) after every
5-10 minutes of operation. This will permit the air to flow through
the dust bag (4) more effectively. Pull the dust bag (4) out and away
from the rear of the detail sander, and shake out the dust from the
dust bag (4). It is recommended to clean the dust bag (4) regularly
for better performance.

7.4. SDS finger pad (See Fig. D1, D2, D3)
WARNING: Always ensure that the sander is switched off and
the battery pack is removed before making any adjustments.
1) To access the finger pad (7), raise the base locking lever (6)
upwards towards the top of the sander.
2) Pull the SDS finger pad (7) out.
3) To re-secure the SDS finger pad (7) in position, push the base
locking lever (6) down until secure.
