    KX-TDE600GR 4.2.3. Circuit Description 4.2.3.1. Outline of Block Description • CPU2 block (BLOCK1) This block operates the main unit control. Besides this operates various controls, select signal generation, DMA control and serial port control. This contains the built-in clock function.

    KX-TDE600GR 6 Installation Instructions 6.1. System Construction 6.1.1. Basic System Basic Shelf The Basic Shelf contains an IPCEMPR card for controlling the PBX. To use the basic system, install a power supply unit (PSU) in the PSU Slot and optional service cards in Free Slots. To expand to a multiple-shelf system, you also need to install a BUS-M card in the BUS-M Card Slot.

CAUTION If you are installing a 2-shelf system in an area prone to earthquakes, make sure to fix the system to the wall using the wall brackets (supplied with an optional Mounting Kit).

  • Page 37 KX-TDE600GR Power Supply Unit Selection for Each Shelf The PBX needs a power supply unit (PSU) suitable for its configuration. For each shelf, calculate the load figure from the type and number of items of equipment to be connected, and then determine the type of PSU that will be required.

    KX-TDE600GR 7 Test Mode 7.1. Utility 7.1.1. Utility-Diagnosis Performs diagnostic tests on cards installed in the PBX, to identify the source of problems. There are 2 types of test, Card Test and Pair Port Test. If any of the tests listed here returns the result "NG" ("No Good"), contact your dealer. Test results can be saved as a TXT-format (text) file.

  • Page 42 KX-TDE600GR 7.1.1.5. Utility-SD Card File View and Load Displays a list of files on the SD memory card, and allows you to update the programs stored in LPR cards (cards with local pro- cessors) and Cell Stations (CSs). This option is only available at Installer level.
  • Page 43 KX-TDE600GR 7.1.1.7. Utility-Message File Transfer PC to PBX Transfers Outgoing Message (OGM) files from the PC to the selected MSG card. This option is only available at Installer level, and requires that at least 1 MSG card is installed. The OPB card that it is mounted on must be set to OUS status.
  • Page 44 KX-TDE600GR 7.1.1.9. Utility-Error Log Collects and displays system error information. Whenever there is a system failure, the PBX stores the error code generated. The connected PC collects all of these codes, along with other information, and displays an explanatory error message.
  • Page 45 KX-TDE600GR 7.1.1.10. Utility-T1 Signaling Bit Monitor Displays reference signaling bit information for all channels of the T1 card, by monitoring sent and received A, B, C and D bits. This utility is intended for use by dealers. This option is only available at Installer level, and requires that the target T1 card be set to INS status.

This option is only available at Installer level. The value displayed for each error item is the number of times that each error occurred during the time period selected. Average values for these items vary depending upon many factors, such as the equipment being used, and the distance from the tele- phone company.

This function sends echo requests to a particular IP address across an IP net- work, and displays the result of responses and round-trip time. This option is only available when the KX-TDE Maintenance Console is in Interactive mode.

Utility-Refresh Activation Key Allows you to enable the activation keys (except for the Activation Key for Software Upgrade to Enhanced Version) without resetting the PBX. This utility recounts the number of available activation keys, and refreshes the system data accordingly. To enable the activation keys, it is necessary to change the card status of all virtual cards to OUS, then back to INS.
