HPVB Assy signal lines (R OUT and L OUT).
Check the waveforms of the audio
input/output to/from the HP AMP IC

(IC9001).

If any of the above cases is not applicable.

Measures to be taken
There may be improper wiring or a defective part in
either of the power blocks. Improve the wiring or
replace the defective part.
There may be improper wiring or a defective part in
the power block. Improve the wiring or replace the
defective part of the power block.
Eliminate any improper wiring by soldering.
IC9001 input waveform check points: pin 3 (L CH)
and pin 5(R CH)
IC9001 output waveform check points: pin 1 (L CH)
and pin 7(R CH)
If no output signal is detected while an input signal is
detected, the HP AMP IC is defective.
Replace the IC9001 or the HPVB Assy.
Replace the parts in the following order and check
the operation.
1 AUDIO DAC IC (IC5503), 2 DECM Assy
Measures to be taken
Eliminate any improper wiring by soldering.
Observe the signals between pins 2 and 3 and
between pins 5 and 6 of VR9001.

If the output amplitude does not vary through
VR change, replace the VR9001 or the HPVB Assy.
Measures to be taken
Check the wiring on the signal line.
Eliminate any improper wiring by soldering.
If the oscillation is not correct, the crystal oscillator
or a related circuit is defective. Replace the parts in
the following order and check the operation.
1 Crystal oscillator (X4501), 2 Logi IC(IC4501),
3 Buffer IC(IC4506)
Replace the DECM Assy.
