• Inspect the prism window and prism to ensure it
is completely clean and undamaged.
Before every measurement clean the prism with a soft
cloth and if necessary a glass cleaner.
• During the measurement keep the instrument in
horizontal position.
• Calibration (see point 4)
∙ At least once a day before starting measuring.
∙ After moving the instrument between places
with large ambient temperature difference.
∙ After changing battery.
Press ON/OFF to switch on or off DR301-95.
• Put some drops of distilled water (approx. 1 ml) onto
the prism and close the lid.
• The distilled water and the DR301-95 should be at
the same temperature of 18–20 °C.
• Press ZERO for 3 seconds until CAL flashes on the
display. The calibration is completed when END is
displayed.

• When this symbol is flashing, the calibration has to
be restarted.
