5. Battery and fuse replacement

Warning! To avoid electrical shock, disconnect all test
leads and any input signals before replacing the battery.
Replace only with same type of battery. A defect fuse is
mostly the result of operating error. Use the following
procedure to replacing the battery:
1. Disconnect all test leads from any live source, turn the
rotary switch to OFF and remove all test leads from the
input terminals.
2. The battery cover is secured to the rear cover by two
screws. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 screws from
the case and remove the rear cover.
3. Remove battery and replace with a new 9 V battery.
4. Replace the rear cover and reinstall the screws.
5. While putting in the battery observe the polarity.
6. Batteries, which are used up dispose duly. Used up
batteries are hazardous and must be given in the for this
being supposed collective container.
7. Important! A defect fuse must be replaced by a fuse
with the same connection value of 250 mA / 250 V or
10 A / 250 V.
