4. PARKING LOCK SYSTEM

1) Function Description

2) Electric Circuit
The parking lock system is built in the selector
lever unit as shown in the figure.
The wiring to detect the brake switch is
connected to the selector lever unit so that the
system detects the brake switch operation signal
for allowing shift from the "P" to other
positions.
This system is a safety measure to prevent the
selector lever from moving unless the brake
pedal is depressed.
