    In a PROFIBUS network this is done via cyclic communication services. From the PROFIBUS point of view the UFC 400 device is designed as a compact device with 9 slots. While the Analog Input function blocks are assigned to slot 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9 the Totalizer Function Blocks are assigned to slot 3, 4 and 5.
