Computer MODEM settings
It is not always a trivial task to get modem communications to work. There are
several parameters that have to be correctly set up. MODEMS do not necessarily
have to be of the same type but it usually helps.
MODEMS of your choice have to be set up to report DCE line speed and error
correction method. (xxx = arbitrary letters)
The following two types of messages are accepted:
• CONNECT 14400
• CONNECT 14400/xxx
The highest speed with which the modems are able to operate is the RS-232
baud rate. Computer baud rate is set in the MODEM.INM file
If the logger modem answers CONNECT 14400/ARQ, the computer modem has
to reply with an identical string. (And vice versa).
