Setting Liveview to "on" for a program has the benefit that a visual check of images on the
camera screen is possible.
Setting Liveview to "permanent" means that the mirror will be locked up from the start to the
very end of the program, allowing a significant reduction in vibration. This is particularly
practical and important for gigapixel projects with large cameras and bulky lenses with long
focals.
Recommended settings
As the camera firmware needs to process all USB commands, this may result in delays and will
require longer pauses (after image).
We therefore recommend to use only those USB features that are essential, for example:

For USB release to work reliably, certain cameras require the release control to be set to "on".
These cameras currently include the Canon EOS 80D + Canon EOS 1Dx mk ii.

As there is a great variety of USB features and the firmware of every camera model
reacts differently to USB commands, we recommend that you carefully test these
USB settings for your specific application.
