1) Hunting: This occurs if the automatic iris function is not
able to reach a stable state, and as a result the image
brightness keeps changing, alternately lighter and darker.

Noise may appear in the EZ mode if the FILTER
control is set to 2 or 4, and iris is set to fully open. In
such case: when the FILTER control is set to 4, set it
to 2; when set to 2, set it to 3.

2) Depth of field: This is the range over which the subject

Check the switch settings on the camcorder. (See
pages 12 to 26).
If there is not sufficient time to check the
camcorder settings, you can use "easy mode" by
setting the EZ MODE button ON. The camcorder
is automatically adjusted to standard settings, and
the iris and the white balance are adjusted
automatically. (See page 91.)
Check the settings in the basic menu (page 80) and
advanced menu. (page 86.)
Check the lens settings (pages 32 and 33) and
flange focal length adjustment. (page 119.)
Adjust the eyepiece focus, and the contrast and
brightness of the viewfinder image. (page 118.)
