INTERMITTENT DRAINAGE
• Turn the air conditioner off and unplug unit, then drain the water tank by removing the drain plug
and allowing the water to flow into a drain pan (not provided). Depending on the size of the pan
being used, this step may have to be repeated. It may be easier to wheel the unit to the nearest
drain hole or outside, remove the drain plug and drain the water onto the ground freely.
• The water tank is considered sufficiently emptied when no more water flows from the drain outlet.
To completely drain all water from the water tank, carefully tilt the unit by lifting it slightly upwards
from the front until no more water drains from the outlet. Replace drain plug.
• Restart the air conditioner by pressing the ON/OFF button. Ensure that the unit is in COOL or DRY
mode. The compressor will start approximately 3 minutes after the unit is switched on.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
Though not likely needed, should you wish to set up a continuous drain rather than potential manual
drainage, follow these instructions:
• Empty the water tank completely, as instructed above.
• Connect one end of the drain hose (provided) to the drain outlet, and lead the other end outdoors
or place where it can be drained freely.
• Turn on the unit.
• If longer hose is needed you can purchase one with 9/16 inch inner diameter at your local
hardware store.
A
NOTE:
The drain hose should be no longer than 6 ft. and should allow water to flow downward. Continuous
drainage will not work if any part of the hose does not allow gravity to take water downward.
