4. INSTALLATION

4.1 Liquid Level M easurement
POSITION
The optimal position of the EchoTREK is on the radius
r = (0.3 ... 0.5) R of the (cylindrical) tank / silo.
(Take also sonic cone on page 1 into consideration.)
SENSOR ALIGNMENT
The sensor face has to be parallel to
the surface of the liquid within ± 2-3°.
SE/SG-300 series two-wire compact ultrasonic level transmitters
TEMPERATURE
Make sure that the transmitter will
be protected against overheating by
direct sunshine.
