Start laying the perimeter wire from the
5.1
docking station in an anticlock wise direction.
Pull the wire from the coil. Tauten and fix it with one peg next to the
docking station.
Ensure the wire is straight and in line with the cable duct underneath
the docking station for 1.5 m.
If the wire is not straight and in line with the docking station,
the Indego will not work and you will need to re-lay the wire.

Why
Example
Your Indego needs space to turn.
A loose wire might be cut or
become a trip hazard. Therefore,
ensure the wire is taut.
If you can place two fingers under
the wire, it is not taut enough.
Increase the number of pegs at any
corner to ensure the perimeter wire
stays in place.
When the mower is moving down the
> 15%
slope there is risk of driving over the
perimeter wire.
Lay the perimeter wire around the lawn area.
5.2
Ensure the wire is taut before placing the next peg
(if you can place two fingers under the wire, it is not taut enough).
In this case tauten the perimeter wire and increase the number
of pegs (if needed).
< 45°
Please consider the wire layout around the obstacles you want to exclude
(point 5.3) and/or additional areas (point 5.4).
Marking objects that you want to exclude
5.3
e.g. trees, flower beds, ponds, slopes.
This will prevent your Indego colliding with objects, or going straight into them.
There are two ways to exclude objects from the cutting area. When excluding objects, all given distances in section 5
needs to be considered.
▶ A: If the distance between the outer perimeter wire and the perimeter wire around the object is at least 75 cm:
75 cm
• Run the perimeter wire to the object.
• Do not fully immerse the pegs into the lawn, as these will be used when the perimeter wire is returning from the object.
• Lay the perimeter wire around the object in a clockwise direction, whilst respecting the required distance of 30 cm to the
object.
• Return to the outer perimeter wire by placing the wire under the same side of the peg. The parallel wires need to be as
close as possible to eachother to make them undetectable to your Indego.
▶ B: If the required distance of at least 75 cm between wires cannot be ensured, the exclusion needs to be done as shown
in variant B).
~30 cm
When going around objects, it is recommended to use more pegs.
If the perimeter wire is laid out in the wrong direction (as shown in image C) your Indego will receive incorrect signals from the
perimeter wire and will not operate as expected.
