Starting and Stopping Spindle Rotation

1) Place the DOOR INTERLOCK key-switch in the
NORMAL position.
2) Check the chucking pressure with a pressure gage.
If it is incorrect, adjust the pressure.

3) Clamp a workpiece in the chuck.

4) Make sure that the status indicator [CHCL] is lit.
If it is not lit, check the workpiece chucking status
NOTE
and the setting for the chucking direction.
5) Place the PANEL key-switch in one of the positions
indicated below.
(ON)
6) Press the HEAD CHANGE switch
(head 2) to select the spindle to be rotated. (S
2
type)
7) Select any of the following modes with the mode
selection switch.
(H)
(RPD)
