Warning notices - Structure and meaning
Warning notices indicate hazards and their consequen-
ces for the user or surrounding persons. Warning noti-
ces also describe the measures for preventing these
hazards. The signal word has a crucial importance. It
indicates the probability of occurrence and the severity
of the hazard in case of non-compliance:

Below you will see an example of the "Live parts"
warning notice by way of example, with the signal word
DANGER:
DANGER – Exposure of live parts on ope-
ning the KTS 670!
Risk of (fatal) injury or heart failure from elec-
tric shocks on contact with live components.
Work on electrical installations or equip-
ment is only to be performed by qualified
electricians or trained personnel under the
guidance and supervision of an electrician.
Disconnect KTS 670 from the mains be-
fore opening.

User information

2.1

Safety instructions

All the relevant safety instructions can be found in the
separate manual "Important information and safety
instructions for Bosch Test Equipment". These instruc-
tions must be carefully studied prior to start-up, con-
nection and operation of the DCU 130 and must always
be followed.
Electric shock hazard
Incorrect work on open, live equipment can
lead to electric shocks, heart failure and even
death.
Work on open, live equipment is only to
be performed by authorized and qualified
service engineers.
Electrical safety rules must be applied
(e. g. BGV A3 in Germany).
Before starting, perform safety checks in
accordance with national regulations (e.g.
VDE 0701/0702 in Germany).
All applicable national regulations must be
observed.

Repairs are only to be performed by qualified and
trained Service personnel from Robert Bosch GmbH
or organizations engaged by Robert Bosch GmbH. No
warranty claims will be accepted if devices have been
opened or modified by non-authorized persons.
