Failure to place buckle's metal retainer
completely through pad and shell can result in

Choose one of the three
buckle/crotch strap slots
that is closest to child. From
the front of restraint system,
push buckle's metal retainer
through pad and shell.
Make sure that buckle is
facing out.
From the bottom, pull
buckle/crotch strap's metal
retainer completely
through pad and shell.
Pull up on buckle/crotch
strap to make sure
buckle/crotch strap's metal
retainer is completely
inserted through the pad
and shell. The buckle must
not pull out.

Check Harness Height
With child in the restraint
system, check the location
of the upper harness slots.
Follow the guidelines
below to determine the
correct harness height.
Rear-Facing Position
Upper harness slots must
be even with or just
below the shoulders.
If the lowest upper
harness slots are above
the infant's shoulders, do
not use this infant
restraint. Infants have a
tendency to want to
slouch. Make sure the infant's bottom and back are flat
against the infant restraint. If harness height is still incorrect,
call Consumer Relations for more detailed help.
Forward-Facing
Position
Upper harness slots must
be even with or just
above the shoulders.
If the highest upper
harness slots are below
the child's shoulders, do
not use this child
restraint.
