4.2 Jumper Setting

4.2.1 Clear CMOS Jumper: JBAT1

There is a CMOS RAM onboard that has a power supply from external battery to keep the data of system
configuration. With the CMOS RAM, the system can automatically boot OS every time it is turned on.
If you want to clear the system configuration, set this jumper to clear data.
NOTICE
You can clear CMOS by shorting 2-3 pin while the system is off. Then return to 1-2 pin position.
Avoid clearing the CMOS while the system is on; it will damage the mainboard.

4.2.2 BIOS Recovery Jumper: J10

Users can short connect pin#2-3 to recover the system BIOS. When the system is done with the job, the buzzer
will beep to remind users to set the jumper to its normal state (pin#1-2 short connected).

4.2.3 BIOS Write Protect Jumper: J6

This jumper is used to enable/disable the BIOS flash. When you intend to update the BIOS code, short connect
pin#1-2 of this jumper first. Under normal operation, we suggest that you enable the BIOS write protect by
short connecting pin#2-3 of this jumper to protect the system BIOS from virus infection.
