Overview

This Reference Manual provides the information needed to program the
cash register to best suit your business needs and sales transaction
examples showning you the full potential of this machine.
Simple step-by-step instructions are included for each program and
examples are provided which can be used for practice. Transaction
examples provide steps for key operations and sample receipts are
included.

Getting Started

Before you begin to operate or program the cash register, read the
User's Guide provided with the product, in particular the sections Back-up
Battery System, Installing Thermal Paper, Electronic Journal, Keypad
Functions, The Control Switch and Operator and Customer Displays.
Programs and transaction information for management reports are
stored in the memory of the cash register which is protected by back-up
batteries. Before beginning to program the cash register or to
perform sales transactions, insert the batteries to save this
information in the event of a power failure or if the cash register is
unplugged from the power outlet. In order to ensure continuous battery
back-up protection, it is important that the batteries be changed at least
once every year.

Cash Register Programming

This cash register can be programmed to tailor its features according to
your specific needs. This programming facility allows you to:
• Select the language that you want to print and display in
• Activate the Clerk Security System and define three digit secret codes
for each of the 8 programmable clerks
• Define clerk names
• Set the date and time
• Personalize customer receipt headers
• Set percent discount (-%) rates
• Define fraction rounding for VAT calculation
• Define up to four VAT rates
• Define the VAT calculations that you wish to print on the sales receipt
• Define Price Look-Ups (PLUs) for individual items and enter an
item description
• Define tax status, Single/Multiple item sale and relative price to a
determined defined department

indications

Set some of or all of the above features, depending on your business
needs. These program settings will reside in the cash register's memory
until you change them or deactivate the battery back-up system.
