Splitting the crankcase halves

•
Remove the bucket tappets, the oil sump, the filter and the overpressure valve.
•
Unscrew and remove the six external nuts and their washers.
•
Undo and remove the four long nuts
from the inside of the crankcase.
•
Remove the upper crankcase being
careful not to damage its mating face
•
Remove the crankshaft together with
connecting rods and small ends
