Prior to Initial Start-Up

Before connecting the appliance to the mains and putting it into ope-
ration for the first time, leave the appliance to stand for 30 minutes if
was transported upright. After transport on its side, the appliance must
be left to stand for 4 hours before putting it into operation. This is
necessary to allow the oil to flow back into the compressor. Otherwise
the compressor may be damaged.
0 Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial
start-up (see section: "Maintenance and Cleaning").

Initial Start-Up

Refrigerator and freezer compartments can be operated and controlled
independently of one another.
0 Insert plug into mains socket.
Refrigerator Start-Up
0 Press refrigerator ON/OFF button.
The flashing red warning light indicates that the required storage tem-
perature has not yet been reached.
0 Set the refrigerator to the desired temperature (see section: "Tempera-
ture Adjustment").
Temperature range that can be set: +2 °C to +8 °C.

Goods to be refrigerated can be loaded immediately after switching on,
because the storage temperature in the refrigerator is quickly reached.
Freezer Compartment Start-Up
0 Press freezer compartment ON/OFF button.
A warning tone sounds and the flashing red warning light indicates
that the required storage temperature has not yet been reached.
0 Press the WARNING OFF button to switch off the warning tone.

The warning tone switches off automatically after one hour, if it is not
switched off by hand.
0 Set temperature to -18 °C or colder (see section: "Temperature Adjust-
ment").
Temperature range that can be set: -15 °C to -24 °C.
0 Do not load freezer with goods until a temperature of -18°C has been
reached, or until the red warning display has gone out.
