5 Operation

BOB-10A subwoofer

1) To prevent loud switching noise, first switch on the connected signal source.
2) Prior to the first switching on of the subwoofer, turn down all level controls to the left stop position to
avoid a high volume at the beginning. Then switch on the subwoofer with the power switch. The POWER
indicator lights up.
3) Adjust the desired volume for the subwoofer with the LEVEL SUB control and for the satellite speakers
with the LEVEL L/R controls. The LIMIT indicator lights up when the signal level is too high. The limiter
will reduce the signal level to protect the speakers. Reduce the volume until the LED does not light
anymore, or only at signal peaks.
4) It is possible to select various equalizer presets with the DSP MODE switch according to your
application: FLAT = frequency response is not affected, LIVE = high frequency attenuation, DJ = low and
high frequency boost, SPEECH = mid and high frequency boost.
5) To switch to mono operation, press the operating mode selector switch. For stereo operation, disengage
the switch.
6) If multiple speakers are operated in parallel, phase displacement between the speakers can lead to
performance and output problems. To compensate this, the phase of each speaker can be switched from
0° up to 180° with the PHASE selector switch.
7) The subwoofer is protected through extensive protective circuits. If a circuit is activated, the red FAULT
indicator lights up. If the indicator lights up during operation or if it does not go out after switching on, the
subwoofer has to be switched off and the cause of the fault has to be removed.
8) After operation, set the LEVEL SUB and LEVEL L/R controls to the left stop position, then switch off the
unit with the power switch. The power indicator goes out.

Setting up a Bluetooth connection with mobile devices

The subwoofer features a Bluetooth receiver allowing you to stream music wirelessly from your mobile
devices such as smartphones, tablets and notebooks.
1) After switching on press the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds until the BT STATUS indicator starts
flashing. The unit will enter the pairing mode.
2) Activate the Bluetooth function at the Bluetooth source and start the device scan. Select "OMNITRONIC"
from the list and connect the devices. Once the devices are paired, the Bluetooth indicator BT STATUS
lights solid.
3) Now play music at the Bluetooth source as you normally would and the sound will come out of the
speaker systems.
4) For decoupling the devices, shortly press the Bluetooth button again.
