1) The sent buffer should not be cleared until the sending has
been completed (X0 or X2 has gone on).
2) The received buffer should not be cleared until the data has
been read from the shared memory.
3) When a software reset is carried out, the I/O contacts (error
flags) and ERROR LED go off. The transmission format
changes to the value written to addresses 1003 and 1004 of the
shared memory.

Data set in the sent buffer is sent when this goes on.
When it goes from on to off, the COM.1 sent buffer is
cleared. (* Note 1)
Received buffer clear
The received buffer is cleared when this goes on. (* Note 2)
It should be turned off after the buffer has been cleared.
