OPERATING THE MOTOR

To operate the motor, deploy the motor into the water as shown on page 6.
Ensure the motor unit is fully submerged into the water.
Turn on the power switch located on the right hand side of the foot pedal.
This is a 3 position switch. When the switch is in the middle or neutral position,
the power to the motor is off. The motor will not draw any power from the
battery in this position. When the switch is toggled down toward the rear of the
boat the power to the motor is on and can be utilized by pressing the momentary
switch.
When the switch is toggled forward toward the front of the boat, the motor will
run constantly at the preset desired speed. The speed is set using the variable
speed control knob.
SMOOTH START
Smooth start gradually increases the speed of the motor to the maximum
preset speed once the momentary switch is depressed. This helps the user
maintain their balance once the boat begins to move.
Just above the power switch on the foot control unit is the variable speed
control for the motor. The power to the motor is increased from off to high
as the speed control knob is rotated forward (clockwise ).
The momentary switch is located on the left hand side of the foot pedal.
When the momentary switch is pressed the motor will activate and reach the
preset speed that you have set with the variable speed control. When the
momentary switch is released the motor will stop.
