Installation: Install the Range Hood
Installing The Range Hood
Before attempting to install the range hood, make certain that:
• the range hood has been prepared for installation;
• the installation area mounting arrangements have been completed;
• the holes have been cut out for the vent duct work;
• the vent pipes/plenum are pre-installed to the outside area; and
• the electrical cable is pulled through the entrance hole for insertion into the range
hood electrical box.
To Install the Range Hood:
1. Select the preferred duct location and precut the opening and duct work as previ-
ously described. Drill the holes for the mounting bolts and nuts.
. If the fit is correct, fasten the mounting bolts and nuts as shown on the drawing and
draw them half way in, leaving the range hood hanging.
3. Install the electrical cable through the cabinet hole and into the range hood. Leave
a 1" length exposed for connection in the electrical box.
. Tighten the mounting bolts to secure the range hood.
5. Connect the duct pipe/plenum and seal it with aluminum tape.
6. Connect the electrical box to the cable (see page 0) and install the electrical box
cover.
7. Re-install the lower splash shield, fan grilles and residue cups.
8. If the cabinet door interferes with range hood after installation, adjust the door to
clear the range hood as required.
