To change grading, size, and anisocytosis limits for the Advanced
RBC Application
1. On the Tools menu, click Settings and then click the Advanced RBC tab.
2. Click RBC Limits.
3. To set all limits to CellaVision default values, click Set limits.
The default values are based on Gulati, Gene. 2009. Blood Cell Morphology
Grading Guide. American Society for Clinical Pathology.
4. To manually set the limits, do the following:
• In the Grading limits area, enter grading limits (in percent) for grades 1,
• In the Size limits area, enter the smallest and largest size for a cell to be

Poikilocytosis. Presence of abnormally shaped red blood cells.
Anisocytosis. Variation in size among red blood cells.
