Note: Use barring device F6555766.
2. Engage barring device (2) in ring gear of fly-
wheel and install it on flywheel housing.
3. Fit ratchet (1) onto barring device (2).
Note: No resistance other than compression resist-
ance must be encountered.
4. Rotate crankshaft in engine direction of rota-
tion.
Result: If the resistance exceeds the normal com-
pression resistance, contact Service.
5. For removal, follow the reverse sequence of
work steps.
