Summit Switch Overview
load-shared power source to the Summit1i switch. If one of the power sources fails, the
second power supply takes over, ensuring uninterrupted network operation.
Note: Summit1i switch power supplies must be serviced by personnel trained by
Extreme Networks, only.

Serial Number

The serial number is used for fault-reporting purposes.

MAC Address

This label shows the unique Ethernet MAC address assigned to this device.

Reset Button

The reset button is used to hard reset the switch. Use a non-conductive tool to push the
reset button.

Console Port

The console port (9-pin, "D" type connector) is used for connecting a terminal and
carrying out local management.
