General dishwasher problems

Problem
The indicator lights and
display are dark.
The interior lighting
does not switch on
when the door is
opened.
Detergent residue is left
in the detergent com-
partment at the end of a
program.
The detergent dis-
penser flap cannot be
closed.
The inside of the door
and/or the interior walls
are wet after a program
has finished.
Water remains in the
wash chamber at the
end of a program.

Possible cause and solution
The dishwasher has switched off automatically to
save energy.
 Turn the dishwasher on again with the  button.
The interior lighting has been switched off perma-
nently.
 Switch the lighting back on again (see "Settings
menu – ClearView Lighting").
The detergent compartment was still damp when de-
tergent was added.
 Make sure the compartment is dry before adding
detergent.
Detergent residue is blocking the latch.
 Remove the detergent residue.
This is not a fault.
It is caused by the drying system.
The moisture will dissipate after a short while.
Before remedying the fault:
 Turn the dishwasher off with the  button.
The filter combination in the wash chamber is
clogged.
 Clean the filter combination (see "Cleaning and
care – Cleaning the filters").
The drain pump or non-return valve is blocked.
 Clean the drain pump or the non-return valve (see
"Frequently asked questions").
The drain hose is kinked.
 Remove the kink.
